The award-winning Occombe Farm is all about food, farming and the countryside. The open organic farm, farm shop, butchery, bakery, café, nature trail and events demonstrate how the food we eat shapes the countryside we live in.

View traditional breeds of Ruby Red cows, sheep and lambs, pigs, hens and ducks at Occombe. Running through the farm is an easy-access 2km nature trail. Children will enjoy peeping at the birds from the bird hide and webcams beam back live images of nesting birds to the Bakehouse café for those who are enjoying cappuccinos, lattes or freshly-squeezed orange juice to venture too far.

Occombe is focus for local and organic food and the café and shop are all making the most of what the region has to offer. The farm shop brims with locally produced goods with a delicatessen, traditional butchery, baked goods, fruit and vegetables. Menus and produce in The Bake House reflect the colour and taste of the seasons. The in-house bakery guarantees that visitors are greeted each morning with the mouth-watering scent of freshly made bread.

Occombe events are infamous, particularly the Occombe Beer Festival in June. Occombe plays host to a whole range of family, wildlife, food and farming events throughout the year, including Halloween, bonfire night and Christmas. A new play area has also recently opened.

Located just off the Torbay ring road (A380), at the junction with Preston, Paignton, the farm is easy to get to and open every day from 9am until 5.30pm; free to enter and park, Phone 01803 520022 or visit www.occombe.org.uk for more information.

All profits from Occombe Farm go towards the conservation work of local charity, Torbay Coast & Countryside Trust.
